Structure of the examination
The examination consists of a written and an oral part.
In the A2 School examination, test takers complete tasks involving all language skills. The written examination consists of reading, listening, language elements and writing. In the oral examination, test takers respond to input and express themselves orally. The focus is on direct communication between test takers. All topics and vocabulary are geared towards the interests of secondary school students.

telc Spanish A2 for students is available as a hybrid and paper-based exam. It can NOT be taken as a partial examination.

What can learners at CEFR level A2 do?
The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) defines six levels of competence: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2.
Learners at A2 level are able to understand and use familiar, everyday expressions and very simple sentences aimed at satisfying specific needs.
They can introduce themselves and others and ask other people questions about themselves, as well as answer such questions themselves.
They can communicate in a simple way if the examiners speak slowly and clearly and are willing to help.
