Structure of the examination
The examination consists of a written and an oral examination.
In the written examination, the focus is on reading and listening. The content and type of texts reflect the professional everyday life of doctors. There are various types of tasks, such as multiple-choice or matching tasks. In addition, test takers have to write a short note to a colleague.
In the oral exam, the speaking skills of the test takers are assessed in doctor-patient conversations, doctor-doctor conversations, as well as in conversations with family members.

The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) defines six levels of competence: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2.
Learners at the B2 level can communicate spontaneously and fluently in a way that allows for regular interaction with native speakers without any strain for either party.
They can understand the main ideas of complex texts on both concrete and abstract topics.
They can express themselves clearly and in detail on a wide range of subjects, and explain their viewpoints on current issues while providing the pros and cons of various options.
