DTB
The four Deutsch-Tests für den Beruf (DTB), at A2 to C1, are the final examinations for the vocational German language courses which are part of the job-related language support offered in Germany in accordance with § 45a of the Residence Act. The tests were developed by telc gGmbH on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs under the technical direction of the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF).

What do I need to know about the DTB examinations?
The Deutsch-Tests für den Beruf can only be carried out by institutions which have received authorization from the BAMF to do so. The DTB are not included in the licence to become a telc examination centre.
In this case, telc examination regulations do not apply. Instead, it is the Durchführungshinweise DTB (instructions for DTB implementation) with all general regulations, as well as the Organisationshinweise DTB (instructions for DTB organisation), which guide you through the specific examination procedures with schedules and checklists.
Both of these documents, together with the DTB dates, are available in the telc Community.
The Deutsch-Tests für den Beruf are part of a larger language support initiative. The programme for the business and vocational language courses is designed and organised according to specially coordinated components:
